Skunks actually are not rodents
They are more closely related to badgers. My dad was a vet and actually removed scent glands from some skunks because they make great pets and are more intelligent than most people think. As a whole, rodents are not very smart. Skunks are, like weasels and ferrets. They're in the same family, the Mustelidae. Just sharing for fun.
