Held this weekend. Some in-state talent was invited by virtue of their showing at the combine:

The list of Nebraska attendees at Saturday's Three Stripe New Speed Combine in O'Fallon was highlighted by 2019 Omaha Burke tight end Chris Hickman.

The 6-foot-6, 195 pound Hickman already has offers from Iowa State and South Dakota State, and will take part in Sunday's Rivals Three Stripe Camp. He took part in the combine just to get the experience testing in a third party environment.

2019 Wahoo Bishop Neumann lineman Caden Johnson made the trip in for the combine on Saturday.

The 6-foot-3, 240 pound Johnson had an outstanding sophomore season for the Cavaliers and earned an invited into Sunday's Three Stripe Camp. He'll work as a defensive player on Sunday.

2019 Lincoln Southwest linebacker Caden McCormack earned an invited to Sunday's Three Stripe Camp after running a 4.8 second electronic time in the 40, and jumping a 33-inch vertical. As a sophomore, McCormack led Lincoln Southwest in tackles and is one of the better linebacker prospects in the state.

"I was very pleased with my performance, and I'm stoked for tomorrow," McCormack said. "I'm excited for the experience and what tomorrow will bring."

Also participating at the 3 Stripe Camp: Cameron Jurgens, Masry Mapieu, and Husker commit Will Farniok. Much more at the link:

Fresh of off of defending his Class B state shot put and discus titles at the Nebraska state track meet, Huskers commit Cameron Jurgens made his way to St. Louis and proved that he's one of the top football prospects in the country on Sunday.

Jurgens seeems to get bigger and bigger each time I see him and today was no different. The 6-foot-4 athlete weighed in at 251-pounds today, weight that he carries extremely well and that does not hinder his ability to run or move at all.

Last year's Rivals Camp in Kansas City was the first time current Nebraska commits Will Farniok and Masry Mapieu had competed in such a camp setting. Each player showed plenty of raw ability, but they would be the first to tell you that they struggled at times. That narrative definitely changed this year.

Farniok has always been very technically sound, but now that he's gained a noticeable amount of good weight and added strength. He was able to more than hold his own against a tremendous collection of top-flight defensive line talent at the St. Louis 3 Stripe Camp on Sunday.

The same can be said for Mapieu. Last year in Kansas City, the raw defensive tackle really only showed off one move, the bull rush, and didn't look like he really had a plan of attack prior to each rep. This year, Mapieu had a lot more confidence and you could tell that he had been working on several other pass rush moves. He used his hands much better than what I've seen from him in the past as well.

Rivals 3 Stripe Camp St. Louis: Top offensive performers

Cameron Jurgens

jpc05xgeuys7lonhgp7u

Recruiting wrap: Jurgens is committed to Nebraska.

Performance: Jurgens requested to work out as both a linebacker and a tight end in one-on-ones, but by the time the camp reached that portion he had already impressed with his offensive skills. Jurgens is an impressive route runner and he knows how to use his size to box out defenders, something he showed once one-on-ones got underway.

Will Farniok

Recruiting wrap: Farniok is committed to Nebraska.

Performance: Farniok won’t wow anyone with his size, but his technique at the center position is what makes him a quality prospect. He does a good job of getting leverage against larger defensive linemen, and once he sets his feet he’s tough to move off his spot. Farniok is the latest in a long line of football prospects in his family, and while he’s much closer to his ceiling than most others, he’s very effective.

The Cornhuskers had several targets and commits in attendance, none more notable than Rivals100 athlete Cameron Jurgens. The Huskers commit worked out at both tight end and linebacker and earned an invitation to the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge, where he will be tasked with helped Nebraska’s impressive class grow even bigger. Also making the top performers were Huskers commits Masry Mapieu (defensive line) and Will Farniok (offensive line). Both players showed impressive improvement year-to-year from last year’s camp stop in Kansas City and Mapieu impressed while also showing he has more potential to tap into going forward. On the recruiting front, several of the event’s top prospects said the Huskers are likely to get visits over the summer, including Rivals100 defensive back Houston Griffith, Rivals250 defensive lineman Michael Thompson and three-star defensive tackle Ronnie Perkins.
