Not surprised that he had a 'poor word choice' moment. This guy is an athlete first, hardly the most verbose person out there. Given his history and status, I'm sure the criticism carries more weight. I don't know him personally so it would be unfair to provide definition to his character. I just hope he can choose his words more carefully going forward, especially when speaking to the impressionable.
