The closest as far as Non nebraska is considered. Especially if you look at KC and Wichita.We haven't done well in Kansas, and particularly in the Wichita area, with high school recruits since the days of D'Angelo Evans.
Not suggesting that Kansas should be the primary focus of our recruiting strategy, but it is in the 500-mile radius.

No radius allowed for OU. As you noted, they can just raid Texas. It's worked well for them the last 60 years or so.Well it is in the OU ~175 mile radius. Not sure if they are allowed a radius though. Thought they had to only take guys from Texas.

After TO passed on him due to size.Lot of Kanas kids over the years have gone to OU and OSU so no surprise. Barry Sanders being one of the prizes going Wichita to OSU as one big example

Actually TO took Terry Rogers instead a very highly ranked player of similar size. He had a lot of promise and then the injuries got him
NU does need to get back to picking a couple of really good players each year out of Kansas, Missouri and Colorado. That is what happened when they were really good
