(Lots more information on Game Page)

Nebraska (12-6, 3-2 Big Ten) has won five of its last six games following a 63-59 win over Wisconsin on Tuesday night. The Huskers held Wisconsin to 42 percent shooting and enjoyed a 34-32 advantage on the glass to pick up its first regular-season win over the Badgers since 2014.

While James Palmer Jr. led the Huskers with 18 points, including 8-of-9 from the foul line, the performances of Jordy Tshimanga and Thomas Allen were critical in NU's victory over the Badgers. Tshimanga, who was averaging 3.2 points per game, scored seven of his season-high nine points in the second half and added six rebounds, while Allen had eight points off the bench in 15 quality minutes, as Nebraska's bench outscored Wisconsin's 20-3.

    SCOUTING PENN STATE
Under seventh-year coach Patrick Chambers, Penn State comes into Friday's game with a 12-6 record and is 2-3 in Big Ten play. The Nittany Lions have a veteran lineup, returning four starters from a year ago, and have five players averaging double figures. Sophomore point guard Tony Carr leads the attack, as he is second in the Big Ten in scoring (18.9 ppg), fourth in assists (4.7 apg), fifth in 3-point percentage (.478) and sixth in free throw percentage (.841). Sophomore forward Lamar Stevens averages 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while Josh Reaves (10.8 ppg, .429 from 3-point range) and Shep Garner (10.0 ppg, .395 from 3-point range) give the Nittany Lions a pair of dangerous shooters. Mike Watkins handles the interior, as he is second in the Big Ten in rebounding at (9.6 per game), field goal percentage (.692) and blocks per game (3.2).

Penn State looks to rebound following a 74-70 loss at Indiana on Tuesday. The Nittany Lions have been a tough out at home, going 9-2 with both losses coming by one point.

Looking at the remaining schedule, there are so many games that could go either way. Grabbing a road victory tonight would be huge.

    GBR!!!

I predict pain for anyone who watches this game. Evan Taylor is due for a game where he makes a basket though. Also Glynn Watson.

Srsly, when your starting guards don't have a bucket between them, that's cooler than cool. Ice cold, baby.

    "The Skinny" from another site:

    The Skinny
Coming into a tough road game where Nebraska hasn't won since Miles' first year it's been a drama filled 2 days as starting center Jordy Tshimanga doesn't make the trip to Happy Valley and may be leaving Nebraska for good. Is Isaiah Roby worrying about having to find another roommate? Sudden departures can sometimes rip teams apart; sometimes it will pull them together. For the purposes of this game, just imagine that it's one of those games where Jordy looks bad on the court but you don't actually have to watch that part of the game (and the team doesn't suffer the empty possessions.) Look for veteran Dube Okeke to get the starting nod, make a run for that starting tip, and hopefully not pick up 2 fouls before the first TV timeout. Expect a heavy mix of Dube and Tanner unless they either foul out or big Mike Watkins starts eating them up.

Penn St is a hard team to figure out because much like Nebraska they haven't really beaten anyone but have cleared out any of the lower competition (minus a home loss to a salty Rider squad). Unlike every other Pat Chambers team at Penn St, this one can shoot as they sport a top 100 eFG% in addition to the hard nosed grinding you're used to. Nebraska has been starting to lock in defensively. Can they shut down the super talented pieces of this Penn St. squad? The Lions are like Minnesota in a sense that if you can make your way to their bench there is a drop off.

Even with Reeves out of the game you have to think this will be one of those close testy games where neither team backs down. Your guess is as good as mine which team comes out on top. Let's go with the better FT shooting team.

    Prediction: Nebraska 73 - Penn State 71
