Dude's (BRS) right. Results on the field will always tell the story, but these cats are making waves quicker than I thought was realistically possible. We know what Nebraska Football is/was. I'm a fan of whoever is coaching. Don't care who, because it's Nebraska. But you have to admit it's been a different vibe - trending upward. I'm already proud of the guys that want to be a part of turning this thing around cuz it's gunna happen.

We always get positive vibes this time of year! Everyone's hopeful that this is the year we turn everything around, but we have to prove it. Lets see this change in attitude on the field!!

Riley's surrounded himself with incredibly gifted coaches who can both recruit and coach. This is going to be a fun ride. If the pass rush develops,and I believe it will, the Husker turnaround begins this season.
 




Agree with Mack this is a recruiting forum where optimism should be high. If its not then we have an issue for sure. There is enough of the doom and gloom on the football forum from a small group of folks that make it hard to read over there that at times. With that being said they are entitled to their opinion as are you but holy smokes recruiting has been lights out for the most part this year and its not a bad thing to celebrate it.

Agree 100%. Riley is recruiting at a very high level right now, and there is nothing wrong with being very excited and optimistic about that.

Oh and other fan bases have certainly taken notice. One look around 247 says a lot (all very recent threads):

There have been a lot of recent CB's for Griffith to Nebraska and they have like 6 other pretty highly ranked guys. What are they selling to these kids? Nebraska is in the middle of nowhere and they have not been that great as of late

Very impressed with their class right now and some of the guys they are in on. Seems many top 10 lists from a lot of big targets include Nebraska.

Penn St as well.

I could see there being 4 big ten teams in the top 10 in recruiting rankings this year.

I think it is fantastic to see Nebraska step up its recruiting. When they joined the B1G, we all knew that if they can resurrect the program to even half of what it was in the 90s, that it would be a huge buoy for the B1G.

My belief is that programs who achieve the level of succes that Nebraska did in the 90s don't just vanish. They will eventually cycle back to a top tier team, for however long, just as I'm confident that Miami will do the same and probably do so in the next few years. We're talking about a program that produced arguable the best team in college football history only two decades ago.

If you look at the current state of the B1G West, it's really just them and Wisconsin. I see no reason as to why Nebraska can't supplant Wisconsin as the team from that division. In fact, I'll say Nebraska reaches a Rose Bowl within the next five years

What's going on there? How are they pulling these top recruits and gaining interest from other high profile players? Houston Griffith getting CB'd there. Micah Parsons has legitimate interest. They already have 1-2 in the top 100. Maybe I missed something but it seems like this sudden attraction to the school came out of nowhere.
