Is there some type of time table on these? Could we expect some announcements prior to the 2nd semester school period ending? Any NCAA rules on it specific to time tables or deadlines?

At this point in the year, generally speaking, as soon as a grad transfer knows he is going to graduate and he finds a team that wants him, an announcement can be made that he will be attending that school. In Nebraska's case, there are two open scholarships. Plus, attrition will open up more scholarships (most likely find out about these around/after spring practice), creating more opportunities for possible grad transfers. Those can be announced if/when the staff finds the grad transfers for those scholarships, which could happen before 2nd semester ends.

As far deadlines go, since the semester is well under way, any grad transfers will not be able to enroll until summer classes start. If a grad transfer is found in the middle of the summer, he could announce and then wait and join the team on the 110 man roster if the coaches keep a spot for him; if not, he would have to wait until all report in the fall.

Was he on scholarship at MSU, or a walk-on? Also does he have to sit out the one year as a regular transfer or is he a grad transfer?
