This probably is not grist for a thread, but I feel like saying it somewhere: I hate when teams are still playing basketball and hockey in June, or when baseball is being played in northern cities in early April and late October.

If I could go back in time, I would convince the powers that be to have NFL in the fall and College Football in the spring (or vice versa). Have it run from August to June. As far as basketball / hockey they can do what they like when they want and I probably won't notice until the playoffs.
On that note, my ALLCAPS just won the Stanley Cup. I grew up in DC and was a mild fan, but this year I was 100% with them (all through the final 2 rounds).
