Gebbia locked in?

correct. Has been for at least 20 years. I would almost guarantee that AM had the same.

I'm sure you'll find the rare kid that had neither, but that's just not how it is anymore. Camps, trainers, specialists all telling high school kids their best shot at a D1 schollie and beyond is spending time and money with them. I have no doubt AM had the same and I don't blame any kid for taking advantage of anything that gets him to the next level. Within reason of course.

Yep. All of those experiences accumulate to bring them to where they are today. If a kid is driven and has the means, I think it's almost a guarantee that they get specialized coaching along the way.

You do not even necessarily have to have means for camps now days. Depending on where you live. My son went to Jeff Trickey QB camp for free 15 years ago because his HS hosted the camp. https://www.winningedgeskills.com/

My grandson went to a camp for free 2 weeks ago because a local kid that now plays in the NFL holds a camp at his old high school for free.

(Interesting side point Phil Taylor graduated with my daughter from Gwynn Park)

Point is all kids around areas with any population at all can go to a camp. How good those camps are depends on who is running them. For the record I do not think that the ones you pay for are necessarily better than the free ones. They just usually have bigger names. i.e the Manning camp.

His weight doesn't rule him out. But it's definitely a factor, especially when the other scholarship QB outweighs you by 40 pounds. Big advantage to AM in that category.
AM is listed @ 205, TG @ 185 on the latest published roster. Unless my math is faulty, that is 20 lbs, not 40 and I'm not convinced that difference is significant at QB when Milton performed extremely well at 175 lbs.

I am impressed with all of our QBs. But you need to keep in mind one very important thing. Mario Verduzco said that the true measure of QB leadership is performance on the field.

Adam Carriker predicts that AM will be our starter on 1 September. Please don't forget to tell him your sorry.
Hate to disagree with Adam, but it will be Gebbia.

Gebbia stated that the most important thing is to play the QB that gives NU the best chance to win. He is all about team goals. Gotta love it.

Which QB will give us the best chance to win?

Adam Carriker and I both agree that it will likely be TG or AM. We both give the nod to AM because he is without question the superior runner. TG can study film for days but it won't enable him to duplicate the explosive first step of AM or duplicate AM's speed and elusiveness as a runner in the open field.

Carriker and I agree that TG's best chance to become the starter is to prove he is a better passer than AM. I think TG is an exceptional passer but I think AM is an exceptional passer as well. I don't see much separation there.

We will face some fierce dragons this year, and to slay them SF will use every playmaker he can muster. To me, AM looks like the best playmaker we have at QB. Dwayne Haskins of tOSU is going to make big plays. We will have to make big plays of our own.

TG and AB could prove to be better error-free game managers than AM. SF might want to go with that. But AM's escapability and running ability will definitely pose a big problem for the opposition and I can't see SF wanting to leave it on the sideline.

I recall how Taylor Martinez burst on the scene with his fantastic runs. He was getting Heisman hype after just a few games. I can see AM being similarly dangerous as a runner while also being a much better passer. AM isn't TM fast but he is awfully fast and more elusive. Can the Heisman hype come for AM as quickly as it for TM? I think it is possible. It has happened before and it can happen again. And if that happens, it will give us our best chance to win the West.

Yep, after just a few games TM became T-Magic and had his own song. To win the West we may need to see something similar... the instant emergence of A-Magic. And if that happens, TG will fully support it - "Whoever can put the most wins on the scoreboard, that's what's most important," said Gebbia.

When TM arrived on the scene, teams tried to contain him, but they couldn't. He was just too good. We saw the same thing with Wisconsin's Johnathan Taylor last season....a true freshman. Is AM one of those players who is just too good to contain? Hopefully, yes, Hypefully, I think so.

Lest we forget...great playmakers can suddenly materialize in scarlet and cream.

The mental part of the position is why Gebbia will be the starter. He easily has the edge there.

Oh, and did anyone seriously believe that TM would get us a champioship?

Bingo!!

Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward with your Father in heaven.

I don't practice any righteousness or profess a faith. No hypocrisy here.

Adam Carriker agrees with me. He thinks AM will become the starter.

Adam Carriker also agrees with me when he says that AM's superior running skill will be the primary factor that wins him the starting job

I praise Adam Carricker for his fine insight and for being able to see the light.

Welcome to the AM bandwagon Adam! I have been here for a long time. I am sure many more will be joining us soon!

Gebbia is a privileged kid with a decade of personal training and coaching combined with slightly above average athletic ability. He has reached his ceiling. He won't be adding weight either. What you see is what you get. I think he is more than serviceable as a backup but not much more. AM has the goods.
Maybe the most moronic post I've seen in sometime here.

IMO, SF's offense will employ the same strategy as the U.S Army. He will attempt to win each battle (offensive possession) by using overwhelming firepower.

I think SF will bring out his biggest and baddest guns on day one, and keep using them until the season is over.

IMO, AM is the most lethal offensive weapon in SF's arsenal, and I don't think he will keep it in reserve.
