Exactly. If you even ONCE have to think/discuss whether or not it's a running into the kicker penalty, then you as the defender made a STUPID play. My God kid, it wasn't even a punt block!!! Just make sure the punt gets off and get in position to block for ya boy to take it to the house (which he would have done).

Anyway, that play reminds me of many games against Wisconsin, one in particular I was there in person and watched the MN defender dive for the block, missed it and the WI punter and slid UNDER the punter him to land ON TOP of the defender and giving MN a 15 yard penalty and WI an automatic first down (thus ending the game in a eerily similar fashion of tonights).

The Sparty coach just said on the post game interview that "they called for the block on the last play?????" Are you serious coach.... wow!

I take back my initial comment.. I can't believe Dantonio would call for the block there.. And if you go back and watch it, it certainly didn't look like he called for the block.. That kid was the ONLY one to be close to the punter.
