Current Huskers Colton McCrystal and Tyler Berger, as well as former Husker and current Nebraska volunteer assistant coach Tim Lambert will compete this weekend for a chance to make the United States U23 national team at the USA Wrestling U23 World Team Trials, on Sunday at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minn.

Rules & Bracketing
United World Wrestling (UWW) Bracketing will be utilized.

SINGLE ELIMINATION BRACKETING

ONLY ATHLETES WHO LOSE TO FINALIST IN EACH WEIGHT CLASS WILL WRESTLE BACK IN REPECHAGE BRACKET.

TWO (2) BRONZE MEDALS WILL BE AWARDED.

The Trials Tournament is the preliminary competition of the World Team Trials that decides the finalist(s) for the Final Wrestle-Off. The Final Wrestle-Off is a best-of-three series to determine the World Team Members

FINALS WILL BE TWO (2) out of THREE (3).

Nebraska junior wrestler Tyler Berger made an impressive run at the USA Wrestling U23 World Team Trials, but fell in the best-of-three trials finals series to Richie Lewis on Sunday at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minn.

Competing at 70 kg/154 lbs. in freestyle, Berger won his first three matches by decision, but fell to Lewis of Rutgers by scores of 6-2 and 7-1 in the finals.
