7 Huskers ranked in preseason wrestling

I'm guessing at who will be starting in between the ranked wrestlers:

141: Colton McCrystal but Chad Red may take this Wt. as he was #1 ranked in HS at 132 [TOM]
149: Jordan Shearer [18-5 last year as non starter]
165: Justin Arthur - moved up a Wt. class from last year - was 16-6 as non starter last year

174: Beau Breske may challenge Barnes - Breske was #1 ranked HS wrestler at 182 last year [TOM]

My 5 cents worth.

Congrats to the 3 wrestlers who won their weight class:

"Two-time All-American TJ Dudley (184) opened his senior season with a perfect 3-0 mark in South Dakota, outscoring his opponents, 41-1. The Irmo, S.C., native managed two technical falls and one major decision.

Sophomore Tyler Berger strung together four consecutive wins en route to the 157-pound weight class title. Berger, a returning NCAA qualifier, earned one technical fall and defeated his other three opponents by decision.

True freshman Chad Red (141) defeated Collin Purinton in the finals by a 5-3 decision. Red opened his tournament with two pins, and went 5-0 overall at the Daktronics Open. Purinton registered one pin and two technical falls during the tournament en route to a runner-up finish.

Returning NCAA qualifiers Tim Lambert (125) and Aaron Studebaker (197) also collected runner-up honors. All four of Lambert’s wins were by bonus points, as he earned two pins, one technical fall and one major decision. Studebaker pinned one opponent before falling by sudden victory-1 in the finals.

Junior Colton McCrystal (141) and true freshman Eric Schultz (197) each took third place at the Daktronics Open. McCrystal had a pair of bonus-point victories to open the tournament. Schultz dropped his opening bout, but reeled off four consecutive wins to finish his day."
