No, some schools want you to focus on Spring ball and time in the weight room, not to mention keeping or catching up on academics. The other factor is being able to compete on a D1 track team. I'm just guessing, but I would think making a top 2 or 3 at some schools much harder than others.
Not to mention NE is a pretty well recognized track team. Maybe not Oregon level but well respected nonetheless.

Exactly one month from today, I will commit to the school of my choice.. I pray to God I make the right decision.

the significance is he wants to run track as well as play football so it helps their chances of getting him.....

Should have clarified, don't get the significance of an official "scholarship offer" to run track - from NU or any of his other top schools for that matter. Safe to assume that Moore has been aware of the fact he'd be able to run track at NU for a long while now (considering the Davis twins do & Farmer wrestles in the offseason), so the offer doesn't really change anything IMO.

Not true, it made this thread longer.

I don't think anyone offered him a scholarship for track... I think he was just officially informed that he would be able to run track in the offseason. To be honest, there's a lot of kids that want to do both that we don't let do it right away. So Riley and the staff giving the "go ahead" is pretty significant and another thing we can do to separate ourselves from coaches that have told him "we will make you football fast" instead of letting him run.

most of the ones that haven't picked Nebraska seem to cover the schools they put in a cb for and all the most recent ones are for NU so looking good hopefully they are right .
