is that 23 plus the 3 extra the big ten allows to sign so 26?
Sorry, it's 24 now. When I first had that typed up I didn't see that Watt was ruled ineligible. Fixed the edit now.
16 graduating seniors plus 5 open scholarships gets us to 21. Then the BIG +3 gets us to 24. But, we'll probably have a few more leave after the season, so the number will be higher when signing day rolls around.
Removed R-Fr QB Tristan Gebbia from the scholarship count. Down to 79* scholarships for the season. Recruiting budget is currently at 25**.
*=84 count towards the 2018 season though. Barnett, Bryant, Gebbia, Jackson, and Roberts all count for 2018.
**=16 graduating seniors + 6 open scholarships + B1G over three = 25 openings for 2019.
Well, by February Frost will have about 100 of his guys, scholarship & walk-ons.
Commit #16 JuCo RB Dedrick Mills (Garden City CC via Georgia Tech).
Added five new walk-ons. Fr K Noah McCashland (Pius), Fr LS Cade Mueller (Gretna), So TE Keaton Henry (Boone Central), So OL Brian Perez (Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, IA), and Jr OL Nick Virka (North Bend). Mueller was on the squad during the spring but disappeared during the summer. Perez played at Iowa Western CC as a TE last season.
Eli Sullivan switched from 28 to 30. Austin Rose switched from 23 to 29. Bo Kitrell is now listed as a RB. Kitrell has previously played FB and TE.
Added P Grant Detlefsen to the commit list as a walk-on. He's the first committed walk-on for 2019.
The first in a long line of walk-on commits from the home state.
Changed Taylor to 17 from 10, Tannor to 4 from 1, and Neal to 14 from 8. Added numbers for McCashland (96), Mueller (94), Henry (81), Perez (59), and Virka (72).
TE Chris Hickman (Omaha Burke) becomes the 17th commit for the 2019 class.
Guessing we take 28 on scholarship this year. Minimum of 25 year after. Frost wants this roster flipped completely.
He'll definitely have the room. We're currently sitting at 25 openings for 2019 (22 plus the Big Ten +3). But we could potentially (will) lose quite a few underclassman after this season. The budget will clearly increase.
Added G/DT Riley Moses from Geneva (Fillmore Central) as the second walk-on commit for 2019.
Removed WR So Tyjon Lindsey from the roster. Updated Kade Warner's number to 81. Estimated class budget is currently sitting at 26 for 2019. That number will increase by the end of the year though. We'll have more players leave at the conclusion of the season.
