N2FL Ranks the 2019 Commits

10 teams that could make huge splash on National Signing Day

Nebraska’s already put together a top 20 class, and it’s in position to add a pair of four-star players on National Day. The Huskers are in a head-to-head battle with Kansas for four-star Dallas-area defensive end Steven Parker, and they’re the favorite to land four-star Oklahoma City wide receiver Demariyon Houston. Reel in both and Scott Frost would cement a top 20 class.

Do you think we have a good chance of holding on to Parker? Normally I would like to think that Kansas is no real threat, but you mentioned before that one of the KU assistants coached Parker in high school.

As of today, i'd say Nebraska is in the lead, but he hasn't visited Kansas yet.

Rival Views: Which 2019 class is the most surprising?

FARRELL'S VIEW: NEBRASKA

To me, it’s Nebraska checking in as a Top 15 class after a rough first season under Scott Frost. Many people don’t understand how hard it is for Nebraska to recruit because the Huskers don’t have much talent in their home state or in bordering states. That means they have to go on the road and pull top prospects out of other programs' back yards - and that’s not easy. So for Frost, whose team showed improvement throughout the season but still failed to make a bowl game, it is quite a challenge. And he’s risen to that challenge.

This is a big class. It has a very solid star ranking and there are some difference-makers on offense and defense such as Wandale Robinson, Noa Pola-Gates, Ty Robinson, Bryce Benhart, Nick Henrich
and others. And only Henrich is an in-state commitment. For Nebraska to be in the national Top 15 in recruiting this close to the February Signing Day is very impressive, and the coaches deserve a lot of credit.

I think we can bet the rest of the WEST is NOW paying close attention to what's happening at Nebraska. Nebraska's 2019 class is ranked higher then any team in our division and for now 2nd in the BIG. That's pretty incrediable considering a 4-8 opening season for SF and staff.

Over the coming years the rest of the west should start making plans to be watching most Big CCG on TV.............. as they won't be playing in Indianapolis.

If we can regularly bring in this level of player we will do just fine.
