NU 2018-2019 Wrestling season

Wyatt Wriedt still with the program? He's a local guy.

Looks like he was injured back in Sep 2018. He may not be enrolled for this semester:

This will be quite the measuring stick. We've been winning duals after getting owned at the lower weights and then coming back in the upper weight classes. Won't be possible against PSU. It'll be fun to watch...kinda...

I think we win one or two matches unless someone has a upset.

Berger vs Nolf will be worth watching, but Nolf is on a whole different level.
I think Moisey, Berger and Venz are our best shots of wins. I hope everyone puts out their best efforts and keeps their matches close.

I thought Laboria did a great job against Hall. He's going to be really really good for NU not too far down the road. Love that kid.

Taylor Venz Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week;

Venz, who came in as the fifth-ranked wrestler in the nation according to the InterMat and OpenMat rankings, led 5-2 in the third period of the match before getting Parker on his back and pinning him to seal the victory (5:33).
The win was Venz’ fifth straight dual victory (three by bonus points) and he has yet to lose a match in 2019. His last loss came on Dec. 16, 2018 against N.C. State’s #3 Nick Reenan. Venz is now 15-3 (10-2 in duals) on the season.

Spencer Lee is my favorite college wrestler to watch. Not that I watch a lot of college wrestling; but, I will try to watch if I notice that Iowa wrestling is coming up on the BTN schedule.
