Gorgeous song. It's not as good as the original but, as a giant J Mascis/Dinosaur Jr fan, I think his cover is pretty cool. J's voice has a beautiful vulnerability.
Since I most likely wont be on for a couple of days, I will post a couple of vids of the bands I am going to this weekend. Galactic tomorrow in this little casino, that has this just fantastic show room, that was built for concerts and the acoustics in this place are great, same place I saw the Bodeans labor day weekend. Great band live.....

This is Friday night. Really looking forward to seeing these guys again. I have never made a show at Red Rocks, but I sure would love too.....
I've seen the Gin Blossoms several years ago also, and they were pretty good, so I am looking forward to tonight's show.
Galactic flat out killed it last night, however, there was a small problem at the beginning. Guest singer Erica Falls came out as the band was really grooving, but you could barely hear her vocals. The showroom is this intimate little place and I decided to move up to the stage, as I didn't see a sound man anywhere. As I got right up the the left side of the stage, where the sound man usually is, I saw this little 4 foot 10 lady, with a gadget that looked like an IPad, and that was what they were using for their mixing board. That was different. They got the sound figured out fairly fast, and then proceeded to tear the roof off of the place. Great show, and now I see they are playing at Red Rocks on September 21st, and I am jealous. Any of you Colorado people out there get the chance, go see the show, you'll be glad you did.
Good lord man, I must'a been high several years ago, because those guys suck. I honestly think they played the same song at the same tempo, about 12 times, for a solid hour and 5 minutes, with the loan exception being, hacking a Tom Petty song in their "encore". The venue I was at, didn't allow for exit and reentry, so I had to play on my phone for an hour waiting for those scrubs to be done. I am going to email the venue a letter of disgust at that crappy policy.
On a brighter note, BHTM were awesome! Put on a great show. Kinda funny, Todd had some misfingerings, and some missed notes, but when he hit, he hit. I doubt most people even knew his little flubs.... GO BIG RED! BEAT TROY!!!!
Among my many planned shows I'll be seeing over the next 6-8 weeks, STRFKR (Starfucker) will be performing their first album in its entirety on Sep 28. I'll be there.
Here's a video I captured of First Aid Kit's show last night. It was an incredible experience!
