I'd forgotten about this one. I about choked the day he filed the suit. I guess he didn't feel being a drunk ass at work was his responsibility to correct.
Same with me, I thought it had been dismissed earlier.
Not saying Steve deserved the 30 mil, but USC could have done a better job of getting him treatment to return to work if he truly had a diagnosable condition. Alcoholism is a disease that can be treated. I know it seems arbitrary to some, but those of us in the mental health/addictions field know what impact this disease can have. I wish him the best in his recovery.
