This game was on the defense

The offense could have done better the second half but our defense just got their tails whipped. It wasn't because they were tired either, the whipping started when they kicked off for the second half.

The game reminded me of the 2001 CU game in Boulder when they kept running the same trap up the middle and we were helpless to stop the bleeding. To Wisconsin's credit, this is at least the 3rd UW back to gash us good - Ball and Gordon did it first.

There's enough blame to go around. Neither the offense or defense did enough to win.

The offense scored a net of 3 points (10 for us, 7 against us).

The defense failed to capitalize on momentum after Morgan's long TD play and after Williams' INT return. Getting a stop on the subsequent series in either case would have made a big difference. Instead, we give up an 80-yard TD run and a 90-yard TD drive.

Well when you insist on throwing deep on first down you are already behind the chains if unsuccessful which leads to a punt which leads to your defense on the field the whole second half

The same applies to all those 0, 1 and 2 yard runs on first down. If not for some accurate passing, we are never even in the game. With a little better receiving (catching the darned ball), we might have made a game of it.

All running backs look good when the offensive line creates the holes. Bottom line is that there o-line dominated our defense with talent and size.

This is a poor tackling team. It's kind of hard to be good at something you rarely practice, though.

Nebraska has four second half drives of 4, 9, 2 and 4 plays, zero points. Yep. It's all on the defense.
