Interesting fact on Stony Brook Heard last night during the game on TV

Their TOTAL HOME attendnace for the year was somwhere in the neighborhood of 5,600 people!

IN their first game in Omaha they will play in front of over THREE TIMES that many people. Wounder how this team will react to being on the CWS stage? They seemed to handle the Miami and LSU stage just fine.

... and from the Stony Brook web site. The game against LSU on SUnday was in front of 10,620. They state that it is LSU's largest in th ehistroy of LSU baseball.

I am guessing they were talking about home games but it still seems low. I haven't checked anywhere but that is what is stated on the link I included.

EDIT: Just checked the LSU web site and thier stadium officially holds 10,150

I'm pretty sure the attendance was more than that every game LSU has played in Omaha. More like 15K each game I'm thinking.

In a game that was suspended in the 6th last night by weather, So Carolina came out today and scored 2 in the 7th and 3 in the 8th to eliminate Oklahoma 5-1.

Just like last night Kent St has taken a 2-0 lead over Oregon into the 5th. The winner goes to Omaha.

The last chance for the B12 to have a representative in Omaha rides with Baylor who is tied with Arkansas in the bottom of the 5th at 0-0.

Kent St almost repeated their choke from last night as they gave up two runs in the top of the 8th before scoring a run in the bottom of the 9th to win 3-2 and earn their trip to Omaha.

Arkansas scores the only run of the game in the top of the 10th and punches their ticket to Omaha.

The B1G and B12 have the same number of teams at the CWS...........zero.

The CWS features three teams from the SEC, two from the PAC12, one from the ACC, and the Cinderella's Stony Brook and Kent St.
