Taylor Martinez sometimes looked like he was playing a game of 500 with the neighborhood kids; throw it as high & far as you can and see who catches it.

And yet was All B1G 1st team QB. Wish NU had him last year. His passing got better every year, he worked hard at it. Felt he was under appreciated by the fans.

I disagree with your statement that he got better every year.
We will ignore his senior year as he played in only 4 games.

Sophomore year significantly the worse year of his three years.
His junior year his yards per attempt was worse than his fresh year. A 23 to 12 TD to INT ratio his junior year is Brett Favre bad … better than his 1st two years but bad is still bad.

By “Brett Favre” bad do you mean 3 time MVP, Super Bowl champion and 1st ballot NFL HOF bad? And how does T Mart’s 23/12 TD to interception ration in 2012 compare to the Husker’s 2023 ration of 10/16? How much better would we have been last year with T-magic’s stats compared with what we had?

By Brett Favre bad I mean the all-time leader in INTs.
By Brett Favre bad I mean a guy who has 508 TDs and 336 INTs.
By Brett Favre bad I mean a guy who has an INT on 3.3% of his throws.

BF is an all-time great. 3-time MVP. Super Bowl champ.
But how good could he have been w/o half of his INTs?

T-Mart is the same way. Maybe the best NU QB in the 21st century but one with a horrible throwing motion and one with way too many TDs.

His passing stats are less meaningful than his rushing stats.
