Even BB in the interview suggested it was to be expected.
He did a good job but he isn't a DC ... better options there. As a ST coach the resume of the incoming coaches are pretty good!
Because Rhule already hired a couple coaches with ST experience and the only holdover I could see him having is maybe Mickey. That's the way the biz goes. After this season's improvement on ST and D, I expect somebody will snatch him up quick.
He did fantastic by any measure. Sorry to see him go. Loved his attitude at all times

Kudos to him for the job he did as DC after Chins was fired. The Huskers were ready and played hard in each game after he took over.

This sucks for us too. Probably would have been a better fit than anyone on the staff next year.
Maybe he wouldn't be a good fit on Rhule's staff. Or maybe Rhule just likes someone better for the roles that Busch would have filled.
He has said he is staying in Lincoln no matter what for family reasons, even if that means getting a job in real estate sales or something similar.
That sucks.
This is how the business works, sucks but life moves on.
It's too bad they can't find an analyst role for him, but I'd guess Rhule wants a clean break from everything related to the previous staff. I totally get that side of it.
