Obviously a kid who looked very good in high school, but was nearly invisible his first year in college. I wish we could temper player expectations, not so much from the fans, but from the athletes themselves. Big12 basketball is elite, and it’s a steep climb from high school ball. If you don’t make it the first year, that isn’t usually on the coaches. Patience and maturity.
