Huskers in the Super Bowl

For you casual NFL fans, here's a list of which teams to be rooting for in the playoffs. There are 14 Huskers who made the post season, 7 from each of the AFC and NFC.

Also, how in the world is Old Man Incognito still playing in the NFL?

---edit---

We're down to the AFC and NFC Championships. Nebraska is guaranteed at least one Husker in the Super Bowl (via the AFC) and possibly two, if Darrion Daniels and the 49ers win the NFC title.

If you want to see a Husker get significant playing time, though, it may be a tall order. Bootle is a rookie and not in the Chiefs' two-deep. Stanley Morgan is the #4 WR for Cincinnati, but he's listed as Out on the Bengals roster. Finally, Daniels appears to either be on the practice squad or IR for the 49ers.

So, there's little chance we see any Huskers make plays during the game, unless it's Zac Taylor calling up plays for the Bengals.

So as long as the Titans don't come out of the AFC, we're guaranteed a Husker. I like those odds.

Yep, that's basically a 6:7 chance, regardless of whatever the NFC does.

There's still a good chance that both conferences produce a champion with a Husker on the roster, meaning that by the time we get to the Super Bowl, it's a forgone conclusion that a Nebraksa player(s) is getting a ring.

Also, don't forget Zac Taylor is the head man for Cincinnati. There are probably some other Husker assistants and players who are coaching throughout the league, but it would be cool to see Zac and Stanley Morgan get rings.

There's actually now 7 Huskers still in the hunt. Six of those teams have already been eliminated with losses in the Wild Card round.

No they don’t.

Raiders - nope
Patriots - nope
Steelers - nope
Cowboys - nope

I just Googled which teams were in the playoff picture and got those 14 teams.

Outside of the Super Bowl, the last time I watched a full NFL game was the NFC Championship when Kurt Warner took the Cardinals to the Super Bowl.
