Not really a surprise. Which "northern" school has the facilities and deserves to host? What will be interesting is IF Nebraska dominates the Big 10 next year, where we win say 40 games will we get to host a regional?

Go Rice and TCU! You've got to love Wayne Graham at Rice. He's got to retire one day soon; it would be nice to see him make it back to Omaha at least one more time. Reckling Park should be rocking this week-end.

I think we would. They don't have many northern school options and we would give them one.

How the heck did UCLA make a regional host....heck we beat them. Seriously they were the lowest RPI team, #35 to get a host and talk is they will be a #2 in their own regional. The last time someone was that low was in 2008 when Michigan as #33 hosted.

Saw a projection had Illinois as the only big Ten team and as a number 4 seed...ouch.
