This was a pretty close representation to our car when I was young. I looks like the family truckster, but it's actually a Ford Country Squire station wagon. We went on many trips to see Peepaw and Meemaw in this thing - 500 miles each way. Lay down the back seats, stuff all us kids in the back, and we were ready to go!

71 Malibu..ours had a brown vinyl top.
79 Bonneville Safari wagon...same color but it had the mag wheels. AM/FM baby!

The ol' Malibu Classic died on the side of the road in 1993

Dad's rig without the step and with custom bumpers made from square tubing. Finally gasped it's last sometime in 1997.

Ours was a 1957 Chrysler Station Wagon like this, only in white.



We went to Mt. Rushmore, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Sequoia and many other National Parks. Spent 2-3 weeks in Minnesota (Fergus Falls - Pelican Rapids area) during the summer fishing.
