so how many spots do we have left for transfers/late signing period
So far they've signed 21 today. Payne could make 22. Then Betts and Aho would be 23-24. If those 3 sign, then it would only be one. But, there's rumors of Aho possibly on the outside looking in, Payne could elect to go elsewhere, and Betts could end up not qualifying/signing. So it could be 1-4 spots left for February/transfer portal. They could always get creative with more blue shirts as well (Aho hasn't actually officially visited yet).so how many spots do we have left for transfers/late signing period
Either two transfers (graduate or not) or 1 transfer and 1 high school/JuCo February signee.Any guess to who the other 2 scholarships will go to, if we use them?

I do not buy in 100% but I do not ignore it either. I think it is an indicator and one of many factors to consider. As an example JD was "only" a three star and I would not trade him for any other player that came in with him. Same with Stanley Morgan, "just" a 3*. Those are our two best players over the last three years, Does not mean you should ignore 4 and 5* guys who are interested. Just means that coaches also need to do some scouting as well.By my quick count, 20 of those were recruited by the SF staff. That might be what is considered a talent upgrade (if you buy into the star system).
The 2 remaining slots have to do with the 25 yearly initial counter limit. The Big +3 rule goes with the 85 scholarship total. The Big Ten + 3 rule allows a Big Ten team to get up to 88 scholarships before they have to get back down to 85 by fall camp. We're publicly sitting at 90 overall scholarships, so that must mean that the coaches have already been informed of at least two departures.I keep hearing we have "2" slots left for this recruiting class. If MW and/or a few others leave, plus with the B1G "+3", could we potentially have 3-5 slots open, or at least 1 additional one if MW is gone for a total of 3?
