Ok, so during a game, tell me what Barry, Farniok, and Daniels are doing or saying that aren't "leadership" worthy? What are they doing during timeouts? What are they doing between plays? What are they doing on the sidelines when the other side of the ball are on the field? What are they saying on the way to the locker room....in the locker room? Barry can tell someone like Nelson all day what he needs to do in certain situations, but if Nelson doesn't understand, hesitates, takes a wrong step, misreads, then is Barry not a leader? Is Barry not a leader because he's not fast enough to cover someone? Is Farniok not a leader because hes just not good enough to be a RT, and isn't playing what most people feel would be his bet position?

Leadership ≠ execution. Leadership alone doesn't make 2AM hit open wide receivers. Leadership alone doesn't make the center quit snapping the ball over a QB's head. Leadership alone doesn't make a linebacker run faster. Leadership alone isn't going to make a kid who just isn't good enough, make a play. Some kids take longer to learn, some have mental lapses, some need more development, etc. It takes multiple things happening for kids to get better and teams to improve. Leadership is just one piece. Practice, repetitions, coaching, training, learning, executing. All of that needs to happen, and right now we have a little bit of each.
