Favorite parts: response after going down 3-1 and run in bottom of 8th.
It puts the lie to “bottom feeder”. D1 athletes don’t show up to be fodder. Our sweeps against such alleged foes deserve credit too.

Us winning a series against a top25 pac12 team is what I was thinking we were capable of when I stood on the soap box for this team preseason. Losing series’ to Northwestern and other things like that are frustrating.
But we have locked up 3rd in the conference. Tough to mock that.

Certainly. There’s things to improve on, Ive started to tally a list. But let’s help Erstad get that done rather than blow the whole thing up. You have people saying “he wouldn’t have got the job if he didn’t have a World Series ring” or “he was woefully under qualified”, but the guy with only those things is delivering results such as 1st or 2nd in conference four of the last six years and working on a seventh. Other programs would kill for that stability. Besides volleyball it hasn’t been done.
Kind of sad he has to defend himself honestly. Pretty entitled fan base.

Yep. If they win the series against Michigan at home they are in regionals.
Hopefully they can make a run and trend up into the postseason. That’s one thing that detractors certainly have a legitimate gripe about.

Gotta take care of business and get there. This weekend is all that matters now.
Not really, fans far outweigh the entitled. All most expect is to compete. In-game frustration is par for course, but observe those that come back again and again, win or lose. And the “shiny WS ring” refrain is clearly a personal axe to grind. And completely unbalanced.

This series matched up two teams that were really struggling. ASU has only won one of their last six series -- to a Utah team that is 4-23 in the Pac-12. It's a good thing we took care of a fading ball club -- so at least for now, we can give the "fading" label a rest.
I believe mathematically, Nebraska can claim anywhere between the #1 seed and the #7 seed based on what happens during the final weekend of the regular season. Our biggest issue is that we don't hold any of the tiebreakers, as we haven't won a single series against any of the top 7 teams in the conference (of course, Nebraska is one of those seven).
