Interesting in that Jashaun Corbin was scheduled to be here but now is listed as a 'still might visit'. Staff must feel REAL good about Washington, who is supposed to visit 2/2. Hope that doesn't backfire.

The 'Still Might Visit' list is just where I place the recruits if there was interest and visits get postponed. It's possible that the staff thought being on the road was a better use of time and resources this weekend.
Corbin is listed as going to Texas A&M next weekend as well, and he could have also indicated something in a conversation this week as well. We will have to see how things play out.
Even though he is not rated as highly,Ta'Zhawn Henry is still in the mix as a possibility. He is supposed to visit on Feb. 2, too. If his visit gets cancelled and Washington is still set to come, that would be pretty telling.

This staff is so calculated it's scary. Get a ton of guys high on your board you feel confident with in on the first weekend. Previous staffs would have just packed every weekend with the shotgun approach and cross the fingers. Don't pressure them and give them a week or two to get on board. Pack the back two weekends with your Plan B guys you will move to if it goes different than you think. You will see a lot of the last two weekend visits fall off.

They have been working their plan from that first day on the job. It's going to be fun watching what they do with a full cycle.
Nate Clouse just said on Sports Nightly that the OL recruits weren't brought in this weekend because Jarrett Bell is set to announce on Monday and things look really good for NU.

Nebraska recruiting is on a roll recently.
The Huskers have picked up three verbal commitments the past three days — including a double dip on Thursday — and added six total players the past 10 days when transfers Breon Dixon (Ole Miss) and Noah Vedral (Central Florida) are factored in.
Now, NU is set to host exactly zero prospects on official visits this weekend.
That hardly means, though, that this late-cycle swell is coming to a sudden, screeching halt.
In fact, the Husker coaching staff will likely take the weekend to set its course for the final two weeks, see some committed prospects and gear up for the final 17 days before Feb. 7’s National Signing Day.
“I think it’ll just be a working weekend,” Huskers247.comrecruiting analyst Mike Schaefer said. “It’s a good opportunity for guys that are committed. They can stop by and see a C.J. Smith (West Palm Beach, Florida) today or other guys in that regard if they haven’t seen them yet this week.”
Overall, NU has a lot of names still circulating as room in the class continues to tighten up.
“There’s about, I would guess maybe 10 real names for the last five spots,” Schaefer said. “It really feels like they have a Plan A backup to their Plan B player, which is pretty impressive considering this is a transition class.”
After a pair of offensive additions on Thursday in all-purpose back Miles Jones (Plantation, Florida) and wide receiver Dominick Watt (Hollywood, Florida), the Huskers may be getting close to being done on that side of the ball.

Four-star safety Cam’ron Jones (Mansfield, Texas) makes his announcement Jan. 27 and NU has already hosted cornerbacks Taiyon Palmer (Lawrenceville, Georgia) and Braxton Clark (Orlando, Florida), is planning on hosting Cam Taylor (Montgomery, Alabama) and has visited Trinity Valley Community College corner Kenneth George Jr. (Athens, Texas).
“(Palmer) is a guy they thought they had pretty well locked up at corner and now all of a sudden he has offers from almost every SEC school that had a coaching change and then a lot of ACC schools,” Schaefer said. “He’s maybe the most exciting cornerback in the country right now because he’s available.”
That kind of competition, really, may be the most interesting part of the next couple of weeks. The Huskers suddenly have a class ranked in the nation’s top 30 by both 247Sports and Rivals as of Friday, and now will try to finish the class by winning some high-profile battles.
It appears as though NU will go head-to-head with Ohio State for both Washington — he’s visiting Columbus on Jan. 26 and Lincoln on Feb. 2 after Arizona State this weekend — and four-star outside linebacker Javontae Jean-Baptiste.

“Two kids that Nebraska desperately wants and Ohio State would just like to add to their collection of talent,” Schaefer said. “If you’re Nebraska, if you win those two and get both of those guys, you really cement this class. It’s not a matter of Ohio State’s out of spots and they’ll get some other kids … they actively want these kids.”

Great points. I think to sum it up, this staff, SO FAR, is a lot more efficient than the previous two staffs, though I will say Riley and his staff got some highly rated recruits. Too bad Riley's staff could not develop O-Linemen, though. As of right now, I am WAYYYYYY more confident in this staff, in BOTH recruiting and player development.......for the latter because having Frost plus those other Nebraska staff members (and seeing how they having operated thus far) shows that they, IMO, will get more out of the players cause they get it!!

I really hope people are right about coaching up the offensive line. I don't understand how amazing athletes like Tanner Farmer or Zach Sterup can go from looking really good when they first get on the field to looking below average as upperclassman. Frustrating to say the least.
