— Randy Gregory said he thought Nebraska’s defense came out with more energy in Wednesday’s practice. He said the defensive line made a point of coming out and setting the tone on Wednesday, and Gregory said they did that Wednesday.
— Gregory said the most improved player of the spring along the defensive line has been Maliek Collins. Gregory said Collins has a better understanding of the defense and that’s translating to the field.
— Gregory also has noticed improvement from the start of the spring by Joe Keel
— Jonathan Rose said he has enjoyed the competition this spring with Byerson Cockrell at cornerback. Cockrell worked out with the ones on Wednesday, and Rose was with the twos. Rose said the Big Ten is much more technical than he was used to in the SEC, where corners are left more on an island.
