Did anyone catch what was said or asked by the reporter?

I took it that a reporter just answered a phone call and started talking rather than any context.

This has to be tough topic for him to talk on. Very heartfelt words and feelings.

I would hope he bans that reporter for life. Don't blame Mora for walking out.

It will be an emotional week and game for the Bruins. God bless them.

Not to put too fine a point on the incident, but this is just another example of the direction society is moving in in general IMO...our language grows coarser by the day, many/most have a sense of self-empowerment/arrogance, and there is definitely a growing disrespect for tradition, civility, and authority.

Yes, Mora was addressing the death and talking about him, when a reporter started talking on his phone.

Mora was telling the assembled reporters the impact of losing their reserve player and what had happened over the last few hours and someone off to his left, sitting in the audience, began talking to someone or into the phone. Mora told him to shutup and then just lost it and left the podium.

I don't blame him either. There are times to talk on your phone and there are times you don't. That's why they invented voicemail.

I have no issues with Mora stopping the press conference.
I also have no issues with Mora telling the reporter to shutup or calling out the reporter.

I am not defending the reporter. If he needed to take the call he should have left the room. Telling Mora to "go on" also probably was not the most appropriate thing to do. The reporter did apologize.

If I was him (the reporter) I would do so again in a heartfelt manner.
