    Thumbs up Team Captains Named

    @Matt_Davison
For 1st time in the Bo Pelini Era at NU the Huskers have team captains for the season. Congrats to Martinez, S Long, Enunwa, and C Evans.

I believe this is a good idea. Continuity and leadership are necessary in captains.

Great news indeed! I think the Huskers have needed this for a while.

    Good news!
I would give my life for anyone one of them as i would my own family. -Pops

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.

I never understood why Bo thought "revolving" captains was a good idea.

There's still room for a "wild card" that could be appointed on a weekly basis, but this continuity in expected leadership through the summer and into fall should pay dividends.

Once again, Pelini demonstrates a willingness/ability to adjust and change philosophies in the search for better performance. Kudos, coach.

I'm glad Pelini reads this board and finally decided to listen to all of us. I think this should pay some dividends moving forward. Now, how about blackshirts for the starting D?

    Agree.

    Cue GFOA: Urine plus cheerios.
Riley: Hire a proven OC, and DC. No on the job training.

Great news. All four are deserving and have put in the hours.

Looking forward to what Martinez can do this year. I believe he's probably got a massive chip on his shoulder about winning a championship and/or BCS bowl.
5 National Titles. 9 Undefeated Seasons. 50 Bowl Appearances. 43 Conference Championships. 10 Division Titles.

3 Heisman Winners. 54 Consensus All-Americans. 28 Major Award Winners. 23 College Football Hall of Famers.

I think the fans should get to choose the team captains before every game with a thumbs up or down vote. This move is ridiculous.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Defensive Captain along with Evans.
