HUSKERS vs HORNS - Game 3 of 3 - Baseball Thread - Sunday
Well, yesterday's loss was very disappointing. Besides being able to hit well, late in the game, we need our pitching to get their game together. Our relievers have a long way to go. Hopefully, we can salvage a win.
Ryan Hander, rhp - senior, will be on the mound for the Huskers.
I'll be back soon.

Well, back to yesterday's game: The consensus from our announcers, the ump was all over the place, when it came to calling strikes, besides the plate shrinking as the game went on.
I don't know if both teams suffered, but from what I heard......................NOT!
In any case, nothing can be done about it, so just get out there and attack the corners and edges.
GO BIG RED!!!

Huskers Fail to Hold Off Texas Rally
Austin, Texas - For the second time in less than a week, a walk-off single doomed the Nebraska baseball team (0-6, 0-0 Big Ten). The Huskers and Texas Longhorns battled back-and-forth through nine innings, but a one-out single in the bottom of the ninth was just what the Longhorns needed to win game two of the three-game series, 4-3, at Disch-Falk Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Huskers tied the game twice, once in the seventh and again in the eighth, but was unable to take a lead over the Longhorns. Austin Darby was 3-for-3 at the plate after entering the game as a pinch hitter in the top of the fifth, while Chad Christensen and Pat Kelly each had two hits. Nebraska out-hit the Longhorns on the afternoon, 10-8.

Let's not give up on these kids! For one thing, the conference hasn't started, as yet, so we can turn this around. Hopefully, the bullpen will come around.
