Wow... not good. Not good at all. Considering the depth that gains carries at NU, Heard should have been in line for significant production next season. Wonder why.

Heard was likely in line to be #2 behind Ameer ... get quite a few more carries in 2013 ... and should Ameer go down to injury, Heard was in great position. I thought he had quite a potential future in Lincoln. Maybe he felt otherwise. Or maybe it's something entirely different. Truly a shame as Braylon was quite the trooper in patience and perseverance to even get himself in this position prior to his said departure.

With Newby and Taylor having committed, and the talk of their possible/probable/likely play time, the amount of available carries would seem to be less, and even more so if either/both jumped ahead of him in playing time. If true, can't blame the guy, but sure will be missed especially after all the work he did to get on campus.
