Marcus McWilson Decommits -- Commits To UK
Well that sucks..... From 7 minutes ago...
Marcus McWilson @MMcWilson4 Officially decommitted from Nebraska. Not an emotional decision, doing what's best for me.
Notre Dame only had one Rudy but Nebraska gets a new crop of Rudys every season

Good luck trying to build UK. You're gonna need it.

Vince Marrow did his job....which was to unsettle McWilson...problem is he may not get him at Kentucky either...
We will survive...

Huge loss. Glad we at least have Singleton in this class.
I would give my life for anyone one of them as i would my own family. -Pops
It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.

Well know he is:
Sean Callahan @Sean_Callahan Marcus McWilson officially has decommitted from Nebraska per his Twitter and is now a Kentucky pledge.

More for him then Nebraska....
Sean Callahan @Sean_Callahan The last two years Kentucky has gone 2-14 in SEC play and actual attendances around 20,000 for some home games.

Sean Callahan @Sean_Callahan Nebraska has gone 12-4 in conference games, they graduate their top three safeties and will get 90,000 per game in 2013.

RR, why all of the recent de-commits?

N2FL had McWilson is a better prospect than DJ Singleton, which did not seem to be the consensus. Either way, it still hurts.

Tough one i hate to see the Huskers lose him but it opens a scholarship for someone who wants to be a Husker. More than likely the young man didn't want to compete for a starting job. I'm sure the competition ( or lack of competition) at Kentucky isn't nearlly what it would have been at Nebraska. Good luck to the young man.

We will be okay....I feel sorry for McWilson....

How many are left that we have a realistic shot at?
Maybe Sayles now gets his scholarship?

Red Shirt

Unless Ohio St. or Michigan entered the picture, this young man just made a very poor choice. Kentucky? Really? Bad decision, but its his to make.
Our staff has to take some of the blame for this. Good recruiters don't let guys like this get away. McWilson was one of the top DB's in recent memory...absolutely cannot let guys like this get away. One of the biggest reasons our program has not got over the hump.

No one likes to be rejected, but I believe RR is correct. NU will be just fine. You can't cry over something you didn't have.

Some kids want to play right away. Some kids want the easy path. Me personally, I would think twice about wanting to take a kid that wasn't willing to compete.

Hard to say....
Samuleson has committed to three schools since the Spring....same with Walker.....Samuleson seemed liked a good kid....but always lookign for the next big thing....Walker I'm going to bite my tongue on...that he is not coming to Nebraska is best for us....so no loss there...
McWilson had a close relationship with Marrow....he used that to unsettle him....had Love not been a midterm enrollee he would have gone after him too....some disagree with me...but what Marrow did was unethical and a conflict of interest in my opinion.....and I will leave it that....
It is what it is....this is still a great class as we replaced Samuleson with Finnin who honestly is a better talent...we did not need a second WR in this class so that is not a great loss....hopefully we replace McWilson...a position of real need.....
