Not sure where you got the idea that I think they mean the same thing and could care less about what you "suspect." So he is being ostracized for two critically stupid statements. Got it.

Here's your post where I got the idea.

By asking why there was a difference between using the terms "legitimate" and "forcible," the clear implication was that you considered the terms to be synonymous (or at the very least similar).

If you understand that these two words have different meanings, then there is no need for you to ask "why" there is condemnation from the right.

A better question is to ask why Democrats are NOT condemning him for those statements. Do Democrats believe that women can biologically prevent pregnancy in instances of rape? Do Democrats believe that some rapes could be considered illegitimate?

Or are they just using Akin's ignorance on very real and sensitive issues as a cheap political tool to claim a seat for their party in the Senate?

Thill, read my post you quoted again. You are just reading some false "implication" into it (read that to mean twisting what I said). And what makes you think the Democrats have not condemned him? You are using your usual tactics of deflect and twist again.

From their reaction and how they have been ridiculing the right I would have to start leaning in the direction that maybe they do...but then again they could just being playing politics and using rape to score points.

mitt Romney met Todd Akin doctor, this is scandal of epic levels and could bring down a candidacy perhaps even the whole party

Mitt Romney met John Willke, the doctor credited with popularising Todd Akin’s controversial views on rape and abortion, during the current election campaign and told him they agreed on “almost everything,” Dr Willke said.

More evidence the Democrats support rape

As New York magazine reported in 1995, from a writing session that the reporter sat in on:
Franken: “And, ‘I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.’ Or, ‘That’s why you never see Lesley until February.’ Or, ‘When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.’”

Franken was not only elected to the Senate (and re-elected) but he has been celebrated...of course he was just joking about rape but is rape something we should be joking about? Really is raping a women ever funny?
