Thread: Nebraska All-Convict team?

  1. #1

    Nebraska All-Convict team?

Just supposing for a moment that all NU players who now are serving time, were able to put together a football team like they did in The Longest Yard, who would be on the team?

Lawrence Phillips at I-back for certain. Thunder Collins would have to be wide receiver just because you wouldn't want his talent on the sidelines behind Phillips.

I might put Andre Jones at linebacker or corner, depending on his weight.

    Demond Finister?

    Others?

every team could fill this out----- why not start a thread of "reasons the huskers will not succeed this year" or "the worst decisions our coaches ever made" -------- What is the purpose of this ? How does it benefit either the team, fanbase at large, or any huskermax member ?

Im sure it wasnt your intent, but its just negativity.

Nothing negative intended. Just curious how the roster might fill out. Ever see that movie "The Longest Yard"?

I'll always be a fan of Lawrence Phillips the football player regardless of whether he's doing hard time. I'll never forget Fiesta Bowl 1996 when Tommie Frazier did that run to the right, then throwback to the left - to a wide open Phillips. Phillps then went untouched into the endzone - about 60 yards as I recall.

No harm no foul WTH but I don't see a lot of participation in this one. I could be wrong. Just the wrong vibe this time of year. Don't need any bad mojo.

He explained his intention. I don't see the need to pile on.

    I love this post.

My buddy and I just finished a mock "NFL Convict" list a while back. OJ was in the backfield.

I laughed as soon as I saw the thread title. Not because it's all that funny in itself...but because I knew what the reaction would be.

We've got some great great players that had issues. Rogers and LP would go on any list of all time great husker players.

I think Kellen Huston should work security for the team.

When the game is played, put Kellen Huston in charge of crowd control.

(edit: dang, BPG beat me by just a few seconds...)
