    NASCAR at Michigan

Today's race is at Michigan and guess who is on the pole? Yes, it is Mark Martin.

Rough day for MM today. Looked like he had a rocket... would've been great to see him have a chance to run with the others later in the race. Glad he's ok.

Next on to Bristol under the lights! Is MM running that for MWR MJ?

You are so right about a rough day for Mark Martin, sheesh. He probably did have the fastest car today but it just seems like he can't catch a break at all this season. I think he led 59 of the first 65 laps, and was leading when he was involved in that nasty wreck. I will say he was very, very lucky that he wasn't hurt when his car hit that protruding barrier right on the driver's side just behind the front seat. If you see that wreck again, especially in slow motion, you can see where the barrier, made of perhaps concrete though I'm not sure, goes halfway into his car right behind where he was sitting. He was very fortunate indeed. It's a shame because the wreck wasn't his fault and he definitely was the one to beat today. Better luck next time Mark, keep the positive attitude going.

Yes, I do believe Mark Martin is running at Bristol, I think he was taking 10 races off this season and I think he has taken at least 7 of them off so far.

The winner of the race was Greg Biffle. Mark Martin finished 35th after being involved in a wreck.

Yeah, that crash was kinda scary as he came spinning down pit road... That could have been really bad too if there would have been pit crews out cleaning their area like they often do between pit stops.

And thats good he's racing at Bristol - I just wasn't sure with how MWR seems to be using Vickers and if Mikey would want to run as well. Can't wait for Bristol!

Are those Hendrick engines made out of wicker? They seem to crumble at Michigan International.
