Breaking Bad (Spoiler Thread)
Can't find the other threads (if they exist) easily, so starting this one.
This episode was a real gut punch... I mean, wow.
This show is wrenching to watch. But so good at the same time.
And extremely well written.... lots of circle backs to earlier themes and plot issues.

"Out burying bodies?"
Skyler was being sarcastic (although perhaps a little serious, too) , but she turned out to be prophetic.
Amazing how Jesse came up with the electromagnet idea a couple of episodes ago, and he came up with the syphon idea for this one, yet just a few seasons ago when they were stranded in the desert with a dead RV, his brilliant plan was to build a robot to go get help.

Oh yes, Jesse's moving up in the world, and when the inevitable showdown between him and Walt comes, it should be a doozy.

my buddy complains about jesse's evolution as unrealistic, and to a degree of course it is (this is tv, right?).
but, in terms of story lines, the facts that he's always been intelligent (alluded to even in HS, where he was smart but a slacker; he was able to cook on his own and pick up Walt's recipe) and he's now clean, I think lend enough credibility to the plot turn to keep it plausible.
Interestingly, the creators originally intended to kill Jesse off in the first season, or second at the latest.
I want him to come out of this, but I think he's dead... this show is unyielding so far.

Jesse's evolution is not really that outlandish. I have seen people come into recovery just brain-fried. Types that you would think may end up working a drive thru if they are LUCKY. Only to see them apply themselves, and prosper to great lengths. One kid that I thought was just a little stupid punk when I first showed up just graduated from law school in the top 10 of his class. Just a personal observation.
Granted for him to have gone that far in just a year is somewhat unlikely, but once again, it is TV

Witnessing (and participating in) several murders/deaths can probably mature someone in a hurry. The turning point was of course when Gus and Mike enabled him to become a 'hero' and gave him more responsibility.
The whole train robbery was absurd, but the anticipation, setbacks, celebrations, sudden turns and shocking endings the epsiodes provide make this an outstanding dark comedy, and more than makes up for any plot holes.
I thought their tanker assistant might be one of the witnesses that needs to be taken care of like Mike mentioned earlier (he still might get it in the end), and once I realized the significance of the opening scene, I thought the boy might discover something, but I didn't expect it to happen the way it did. [shudder]
