more good lb's this year, at least I hope so. And Fisher can move laterally and he couldn't last year because leg was still healing.

I am very excited for several reasons.
1. DB's. I love to hear the players talk about the new coach. Our biggest weak link was DB's last year, and we definitely have talent back there.
2. Dline. Our second weakest position. Love to hear about attacking instead of always read and react.
3. Hopefully Tmagic is evenly slightly improved in throwing. More importantly, more mature and hopefully able to run like he did as a freshman. He just destroyed K-state. Would love to see that again.
My cup of Kool-aid runneth over and can't wait.

Life sucks.
Edit: Oh, wait. Sorry, GFOA. I misread your initial post. Nevermind.

lets see if I read this thread correctly...the hated GFOA post a thread saying lets be positive for the upcoming season. It all seems good. I'm here to tell ya brothers and sisters...its a trap.
When it gets heated in here and GOFA says, hey! I've tried to be positive he can link back to this thread as proof! In chess, if you are going to be any good you have to be able to read 8 moves ahead....GFOA just moved his Bishop to king 5....and as he predicted you moved your pawn to queen 4 ....
It is fun to watch though

Do you really think people give a crap what GFOA all or anyone else thinks but themselves on this board? That is fun to contemplate.

This season we shall see about what added depth and more experience will do for a young team. There is always a step forward when the development program is real. Redshirting talent. The walkon program at full capacity again. We have missed the development factor for quite some time in the program.
While some are unhappy with the Tyler Moore situation because he didn't have the passion, the bigger picture keeps grinding forward. Still heading up hill with many of the missing pieces back in place. Since he wasn't happy he wasn't going to give that 100% anyway. Now more passionate players get to take another step towards their dreams.
I know there will be progress from last year. We have Burkhead. We have a three year starter at the controls. We have receivers. Maybe the best set of receivers we have ever had. We shall find if that bold statement has legs very soon. We have players stacked in the wings some waiting patiently for their chance. Some maybe not so patiently as their time remaining has limitations. All in all a true hunger that propels the process at a faster rate than in previous years.
There are shining stars ready to be unleashed. Possible difference makers with the likes of Turner, Cross, Valentine, Rose, Anderson, Seisay to add to the young veterans that got their feet wet last year. Things look much brighter than they have in a long time. The Big Ten boys were a bit surprised by some of the youngsters Bo has accumulated that they had never heard of before. They seem to have made impressions on them last week.
The core players are still here for 2012. Senior linebackers with limited time left in their college careers. Others who fought injuries in the past with one last chance. Fisher, Whaley, Compton, Randle, Meredith, Smith Marlow, Pensick, Reed all having to raise their games as young talent push them hard.
Now the reality is this could arguably be the toughest schedule Nebraska has had in a long, long time. Some say maybe the toughest ever. Not many breathers in this season. That makes this all the better for the fans. If, that is If this team can raise the bar far enough to add wins in the win column the voters will have to give them their due. The season will not be easy. The good part is, it should be a better product than we have seen in the past decade.
Players comfortable in that they again won't have to learn yet another new offense. The can refine their game rather than have to learn another new one. The same offensive coordinator that should improve his game gives the process even more legs. So many underclassmen with one and two years of actual playing time means leadership. Even Bo seems energized because of what he sees.
I won't predict a world beater in 2012, though the potential seems real to me. In this league such boasts can leave one with egg on his face or eating some cold crow, but I expect more in 2012. It sets up a serious run as a front runner in 2013. The hunger is there for the players, the coaches and the fans. Lets play ball.

Have to remember the lack of depth on the defensive side of the ball. Our depth has been slowly improving through Pelinis time here. (remember that this problem stems back to when Bo was here previously, and earlier) Our depth on both sides of the ball has improved not only in numbers, but quality. (with a big assist to the walk on program) The lack of depth last season somewhat tied the hands of being more aggressive. Hopefully our O-line will show significant improvement, which will be a big factor in our level of success this year.

It probably didn't take him much time to find the post from a year ago and change all the 2011's to 2012's.
