Former Auburn DB Jonathan Rose signs with Nebraska: Good background story on his move

Thought this was worth posting.....soem good back ground on him....

He will redshirt this fall, but be allowed to practice with the team. Rose will be first eligible to play in the fall of 2013.

He also knew defensive backs coach Terry Joseph from his days as a blue-chip recruit.

Joseph got to know Rose when he was an assistant at Tennessee. He attempted to recruit Rose to Knoxville when he was one of the nation's top prospects at cornerback.

Rose also liked the fact that Homewood product Ameer Abdullah is at Nebraska. They got to know each other during the week both practiced together and played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic after their senior varsity seasons.

While he did not go into detail about what happened at Auburn, Rose did speak generally about mistakes he made at Auburn. He said he was "blessed to have a second chance at Division I football" with the Cornhuskers.

    I missed signing day?

Seriously, though, how does it work with transfers, RR?

i think this is a huge pick up- he will be here this fall so way ahead of any others by next year. If he lives up to his rating he is a steal and we should be glad he will play next fall!

In all actuallity he and Charles Jackson more than likely could be 3 for 3 guys next year, and trust me, these two young men have a great chance to be special.......

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.

Why would Jackson only play 3 years?

Not to split hairs, but if Jackson plays this year, he will still have a red shirt available. Thus, he would have 4 years to play 3.

Not disagreeing with you or anybody else on this point. My original point was that Charles and Jonathan will have 3 to play 3 next year should it play it out that way. CJax will play this year. Unfortunately it is a waste of your and my time for me to copy and paste premium links. But word has it Charles Jackson is one of the best athletes to attend UNL in sometime. With that being said, he wont be using a redshirt at anytime. The Energizer Bunny is the "Real Deal" and hopefully his dividends will be paid instantly

You are correct technically, just dont see a redshirt being used with the likes of a Tevin Mitchell or Charles Jackson. These kids are the real deal.

The BTN crew would appear to agree with you regarding CJax.
