    McKayla and her Silver Medal

Gotta say, I haven't been a big fan of her's throughout the games. But in my case it's because her face reminds me of a girl we know here in KC who is a total witch! Anyway, thought these were pretty funny....

She is a very competitive person and didn't perform to her expectations. She knows she is better than everyone on that podium she just wasn't on that one particular day. Nothing wrong with expecting the best from yourself. I don't blame her one bit, I'd be PO'd as well if I was her.

I was always told that its okay to lose, but its never okay to accept losing. Carried that with me since I was about 9yrs old.

You should never accept coming up short. But there is something to be said for sportsmanship and composure when you do. She comes off as a crybaby, and I think she is.

There's an evergrowing segment of our society that looks down on such people and believes if they do actually succeed, they were just more fortunate.

We all should just be satisfied that we tried.

You call it crybaby I call it disappointment in herself. She hugged the winner the day of the event that is all the sportsmanship that was needed.

I have to agree. She (seemingly sincerely) hugged the winner, also stayed around to cheer on her teammates in subsequent events. If she wasn't disappointed, she wouldn't be human.

Fair enough. To me, her body language says crybaby.

Crybaby was the dominican republic volleyball team, the match wasn't even close to being over and they were already ball babying it.

This is the Olympics that quote should be attributed to Romney.

They could not have succeed without Romney? OK.

I was just referencing the Romney quote when he was the Olympics head in Salt Lake. Did you miss that one?
