A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.
Is he the one "silent commit" that we have heard of for so long??
Nope.

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.
What I am hearing is its a done deal...just waiting on the paperwork clearance at Nebraska..could be announced tomorrow....
..this kid can flat out play...a really BIG pickup for Nebraska.......was ranked the #7 Safety in the country by Rivals in the 2011 class....and the #112 player on the Rivals 250 that season...Charles Jackson was the #100 player on the 250....
Notre Dame only had one Rudy but Nebraska gets a new crop of Rudys every season
Have read on some other boards folks saying he Red Shirted last year...that is incorrect....he played as a true-Frosh.....thus come to the Huskers as a 4-3 guy however, will sit this coming season call it a RS or a transfer year....which ever.....and will have 3 years elgibility left or a 3-3 guy....
Rose played sparingly for Auburn last season, recording two tackles. But Etheredge said Chizik told him Rose's play improved in the spring when he led the team in interceptions during scrimmages.

Thanks so much for the info as always. And with Smith and Stafford playing as seniors I am more than excited for Corey Cooper and Rose to step in next year! Great pickup if it holds true!
