Out of curiousity, what was the point of this thread?
You never stand so tall as when you kneel to help a child.

Probably that gay men aren't nearly as inclusive as people think they are, apparently they aren't fond of lesbians moving in on their turf and will use any means necessary to keep them out. Often making them wear their hair longer and with a more modern look.

Not sure that it really needs to have a point, just an interesting observation. We are generally in Palm Springs a couple of times a month. More often during the summer.
Palm Springs is very open and accepting of gays; it is not uncommon to see men walking hand-in-hand. But for some reason, it doesn't seem as though we see nearly as many lesbian couples.
Is homosexuality more skewed toward males than females?

It's cuz all the lesbians have moved to FLA4NEB's neighborhood.
Lord loves a workin' man; don't trust whitey; see a doctor and get rid of it.

Had hamburgers with them this past weekend...didn't notice any gays there
“We want a society where people are free to make choices, to make mistakes, to be generous and compassionate. This is what we mean by a moral society; not a society where the state is responsible for everything, and no one is responsible for the state.” ― Margaret Thatcher.

I wonder how what Toby and Bruce describes in Palm Springs compares to Austin?

"Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and reverence." 1 Peter 3:15-16 (NRSV)

That's a thought-provoking question.

Are you two in a position in your community to shine a light on lesbian couples and make it a more inviting place?

Maybe you notice gay men more because you are more attracted to them.

Maybe you notice threads about gay issues (and comment in them) because of your own latent homosexual feelings.

We've been in lots of positions, but don't think that is what you have in mind.

Settle down Sally you opened with a statement not a question I replied as such....

They aren't latent. Poyer and I are very open about our feelings. But me thinks I may have hit the nail on the head with you two.....

Suggest you refer to post no. 23, Toots. "Is homosexuality more skewed toward males than females?" is very definitely a question, and your reply followed the question.
