The US Open is half over and
Tiger is sharing the lead with Jim Furyk and David Toms. Should be an exciting weekend of golf.

He is 8 out of 9 winning when leading or tied at the end of the second round in a major. He lost in 2009 and hasn't contended in a major since. Lot's of pressure on the 36 year old.

Red Shirt
NBC couldn't be happier with the situation, especially since the US Open is taking place on the West coast and that could mean Tiger going for a major in primetime. Could be some huge ratings.

Oh good that means I get to hear Johnny Miller give the analysis. He seems to be pretty honest.

The first two days he was among the top in fairways hit and greens in regulation. On this course (and in most US Open's), that is the key to winning.

And that is what McDowell and Furyk did today and Tiger didn't. Should be an exciting, albeit Tigerless, finish tomorrow.

Well he has a chance to make history tomorrow.

Nice of him to prove my point.

Tiger would have to shoot a 66 (at the worst) to get to Even and then hope the 13 guys ahead of him fall apart to have a chance.
I can't see him shooting better than about a 68 and that may be good for about a top 5 finish.

I didn't say it was a good chance....

Although, Tiger's chances are a bit better than Phil's in this one. I like Jim Furyk. I hope he can win it at this point.

I am with you; Jim and Fluff today. I'll be pulling for him.

I'll also be interested if the 17 yr old kid, Beau Hossler can keep it together on a US Open Sunday and hang with the pros. He goes to the same high school and is in the same class as Johnny Stanton who we are recruiting as a QB.

not what he wanted I'm sure

Yesterday Tiger was +3 for the first six holes. Today he was +6. That's +9 in two days and guess where he sits with 9 holes to play.....+9.

What a par for Furyk at 12. A 35 footer that he needed to maintain his 1 stroke lead.

Jimmy really fell apart down the stretch, but...............congrats to the Demon Deacon winner Webb Simpson.
