That this is even an issue is adequate proof to me that America has been turned upside down. Very sad.

Do you just have a few canned responses saved in a Word document that you copy and paste into threads?

    Very true.

If they find a way to get to the polling place to vote, they can find a way to get a simple photo ID to allow them to vote when they get there.

Warhorse, I did none of these listed. But would still like an answer to my queries. MyBraska, I agree. The logical line of thinking is that you SHOULD have to supply proof of identity to vote.

It's really sad when some people can only spout their party's official line, even when that official line has been definitively rebutted by a bipartisan commission led by a former president and the United States Supreme Court.

Birth certificates are the ulitmate participation ribbons. Not sure why people think it's such a big deal. You squirm around for a few hours and then cry about it afterwards. Just makes people think they are special, when they're not.

Its the paperwork notifying the newborn that republicans no longer care about them.

    That's actually pretty good!

Just want to thank those of you that proved the point I was making in this post. That would be the majority of those posts from #76 to this one. I struck a major righter denial nerve didn't I?

Dems: Photo ID requirement to vote is unacceptable!!! But...

I think it's good that they check the ID of people who will have an audience with the president.

On an unrelated note I think requiring somebody to show some proof of ID to vote isn't that significant of a hurdle and we need to find a way to make that happen.

Finally there is absolutely no reason whit voter registration records cannot be scrubbed to get Social Security records. Every official death certificate should automatically be forwarded to so security administration. Every state should have an automatic computer check to remove from there go to registration rolls anybody to do so security administration has determined is deceased. The problem of dead registered voters can be solved quickly and easily.

Let me answer this for Warhorse, "Perhaps if there was any appreciable voter fraud at the state or national level which there isn't, but we would like to leave that option to cheat open just in case we do need to cheat to win the election."
