"41"...HBO documentary
Regardless of what you think of his politics, it's pretty hard to not realize what a good man he is and has been throughout his life.
Looking forward to seeing this piece.

I was a huge fan of the Bush the elder's presidency. His presidency was one of pragmatic statesmanship, and he guided the country and the world through a potentially very unstable time after the collapse of the Soviet Union. He also handled Desert Storm masterfully.

"This aggression will not stand."
Steadfast foreign policy.
Amazing theme in The Big Lebowski, too.
I was a fan of both he and 43... who I think history will serve much better than his successor.

Class act, Even former president Bill Clinton loves the guy!

His involvement with the CIA, VP, and President guy did a lot....and being the parent of a special needs child is no breeze either

Now this was cool. The old dude has stones.

Bush 1 was A-OK. Torpedoed by the economy.
-
Bush 1 has always seemed like a great guy. The dude had a stellar resume. Perhaps the most "qualified" president ever?
-
I've always liked Bush I. Respect.

You were a fan of W, and think he will be remembered by history better than Obama? I wouldn't have guessed that (and personally don't agree.) Why?

If you are referring to "Read my lips, no new taxes," we'll never know what was in his heart but I think this was a broken promise, not a lie. The difference is that one may argue the promise had to be broken out of necessity.
Clinton lied and was reelected. Americans really don't mind when politicians lie unless they're members of the opposing party.

Translation: my guy tried to do right and couldn't make it happen but those other guys are lying, scheming bastards who are trying to ruin America.

You're stretching. You should calibrate your translator.

Lying to me is easy. Lying to yourself is when it gets tricky.

In what way did I lie to you and myself?

You need to relax. I am having some fun with you and the fact that you tend to be black and white about politics and have an "us against them" approach on this board. You certainly are not alone. This is just my opinion.
Here, have a smiley.

If you're going to call me a liar, I think I have a right to how you think I lied.
