    Qb Damion Hobbs visit

He showed up for an unofficial visit. He was here for the end of the qb camp, but did not attend. He already has an offer. He was very high on us and rated it a 10. Seems to me there are alot of qb's interested in us right now!

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.

Do Texas high schools have Nike contracts? I counted at least four different uniforms.

This kid would be the second QB I have been talking about....the QB/Athlete.....and I think that is why we have targeted him all along....

We will not take two pure QBs....one will be an Athlete.....

Like I said in another thread....we are in a good place right now with QBs....wee-wee or get off the pot time....and I think we will have at least one commit in the near future....not to beat a dead horse but no scrambling and never was....things are looking really good....

Have you been talking to my wife?
I cried because I had no shoes until I saw a man that had no feet.

That's a pretty bold statement. Especially about an 17-18 year old athlete.

Just have a number of players that we are in on that I'd rather see on our commit list in front of him.

I'd much rather have Kincaide, Stanton, Scott as a QB and I'm not big on the idea of taking a second QB/ATH.

Since we (you) are being blunt here.....I find a comment like this to be disappointing....and makes little sense in my opinion....

You know why he is being recruited to be a QB/Ath....NOT the primary choice as the QB in the class....more than likely will become a WR...but a sound decision to hedge our bets with room in the class to do so....

The staff has a plan and in my opinion this makes sense....

He would be brought in as the QB/Ath...which makes all the sense in the world....we DO NOT need two pure QBs in this class...you are looking at a transfer a season or two down the line if we do....

Bringing in a second QB who is also an athlete makes sense and hedges your bets....and in my opinion is a sound idea...he could play QB if it ends up that way or play WR as he has done in HS.....

This young man would be the QB/Ath in the class and the SECOND QB....not the primary pick....but you already knew that as does he....

He's very athletic, runs well in traffic, and shows good strength running through arm tackles and for the extra yards. I'd be more than happy to bring him in and see where he fits best.

Exactly....an athlete....an option who can play several positions its a no-brainer in my opinion....

Definitely would have to do something about his attire on the 247 profile page though. That shirt just has to go.

Smarter plan to me is to get yourself a quality QB prospect and then an actual RB, WR or DB, not just a guy who can play either way. I wouldn't take this guy as a WR over any of the WRs we are in on. Wouldn't take him as a DB over any of the DBs we are in on.

If he starts out at QB...that means we are set to carry 6 QBs on scholarship next year and only 3-4 RBs (assuming we take one this year). That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If he doesn't start out at QB......I don't think it is real easy to just drop the other position and take up the QB spot if it'd be necessary.

As I've said above. Give me a second pure RB in this class over an Athlete that we will likely flip flop back and forth.
