OMAHA — The game times and pairings for the first two days of the College World Series have been announced. The 66th CWS will take place at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha from June 15-25/26.
The first game on Friday is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET and features Stony Brook (52-13) against No. 2 national seed UCLA (47-14). Friday’s second game pits No. 3 national seed Florida State (48-15) against Arizona (43-17), and is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET.
The doubleheader on Saturday features Arkansas (44-20) vs. Kent State (46-18) at 5 p.m. ET, and No. 1 national seed Florida (47-18) squaring off against South Carolina (45-17) at 9 p.m. ET.
With the dual bracket setup, it really favors Stony Brook. They are in the opposite bracket of #1 Florida, two time defending champion So Carolina, and a very hot Arkansas team (all 3 SEC teams). UCLA is a bit overrated, and Fla St and Arizona have been pretty inconsistent. The Seawolves pitching is probably better than the other three teams in their bracket and they can hope that the 3 SEC teams will beat the snot out of each other before the final series.

Opening festivities cancled on Thur Night. Heave rain and the threat of storms rolled through in the evening and after last year when they had to evacuate to the Qwest / CLINK they were taking no chances. RIght thing to do. No parade of teams, Parachute team, or fireworks though.
