Arkansas scores the only run of the game in the top of the 10th and punches their ticket to Omaha.

The B1G and B12 have the same number of teams at the CWS...........zero.

The CWS features three teams from the SEC, two from the PAC12, one from the ACC, and the Cinderella's Stony Brook and Kent St.

    Go 'ZONA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (my alma mater)

I actually think Stony has a real legit shot at winning the whole series...they have the arms, and you can't win the CWS without any arms.

If they get past UCLA in the first game, watch out for the Seawolves!!

With the dual bracket setup, it really favors Stony Brook. They are in the opposite bracket of #1 Florida, two time defending champion So Carolina, and a very hot Arkansas team (all 3 SEC teams). UCLA is a bit overrated, and Fla St and Arizona have been pretty inconsistent. The Seawolves pitching is probably better than the other three teams in their bracket and they can hope that the 3 SEC teams will beat the snot out of each other before the final series.

Opening festivities cancled on Thur Night. Heave rain and the threat of storms rolled through in the evening and after last year when they had to evacuate to the Qwest / CLINK they were taking no chances. RIght thing to do. No parade of teams, Parachute team, or fireworks though.

Looking forward to watching the first game in a couple of hours.
I really hate Penn State! (And I'm not that wild about Iowa either.)

UCLA jumped on Stony Brook with 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning to lead 5-0 now in the bottom of the 2nd. Ouch!
